APAPA’s Thanksgiving Turkey Drive

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This year, we are especially thankful for our leaders and supporters who have never stopped believing in our mission of empowering, inspiring, and engaging the API community despite all the challenges we’ve faced as a result of the pandemic.

In the spirit of giving and helping the community during these unprecedented times, APAPA organized a Turkey Donation Drive to support Asian Resources, Inc.’s goal of providing turkeys to families facing economic struggles.

On November 23, 2020, APAPA donated a total of 150 turkeys to Asian Resources, Inc. (ARI). ARI is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to providing multiple social services needed in the community.

Thanks to the kind hearts of our  APAPA leaders and California North State University (Dr. Alvin Cheung), we exceeded our original plan of donating 100 turkeys. CNU contributed 50 turkeys to our effort. Our Greater Sacramento Chapter, APAPA-GSC, also donated 200 cloth facemasks to ARI.

Thank you for collaborating with us.  Your contributions helped bring the holiday spirit to families who are facing hardships during the pandemic and holiday season.
