Sacramento,
CA – Nearly 30 years ago, we had a vision for our property, the
Yin Ranch, as a beautiful place for our family and the community. We still do –
we continue to embrace that vision.
On
August 19, 2020, the tragic LNU Lightning Complex Wildfire devastated several
structures at our Yin Ranch, including a guest house and storage units – the
hardest loss was seeing our beloved Community Hall collapsed into ashes. We
evacuated at 3 am with just our little dog Yo-Yo. There was no time to pack or
take anything else with us.
We
appreciate all the heartfelt concern and generosity of so many friends who have
reached out to us recently. They want to support us and our plan to rebuild Yin
Ranch and our Community Hall. We want something positive to come out of all
this. Although our property was damaged and structures destroyed, we have
resources and are determined to rebuild.
There
are so many who have risked their own lives to protect all of us, and many
others who have lost their homes, and their animals. It really breaks our
hearts to see this great hardship and loss.
We
ask our friends in the community who have generously offered to help us rebuild
the Yin Ranch, to donate to our greater community instead. We want to help our
neighbors and families across Solano County and in California.
You
can give to help others through “The California Wildfire Relief Fund”
established by the nonprofit APAPA: www.apapa.org/wildfire
to provide critical support where it is really needed. 100% of the funds raised
will go to:
·
The California Fire Foundation – to help our heroes, the
firefighters, and to help victims of the fire who have lost their homes
·
The Solano County SPCA – to help families with adoption and to be
reunited with their pets. We can imagine so many pets and animals were lost
during this fire and evacuation.
We
are so moved by the great outpouring of support to us and we want to direct
that goodwill to give back to the greater community. If you can give any amount
in honor of our dream and the American Dream, please do so. The firefighters,
those who lost their homes, and the displaced and lost animals need our
support. Thank you so much for caring about our community!
Gratefully,
Regina
and C.C. Yin – APAPA Founders
