APAPA is greatly saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. David Park on December 19, 2020. Dr. Park was the Founder of South Baylo University. Established in 1977 in Los Angeles as a post-secondary educational institution, South Baylo University’s mission is to expand the knowledge of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) and serve the community through quality education, research, and patient care.
Dr. Park, along with his wife and South Baylo University Co-Founder, Dr. Jennifer Park, were extremely supportive of APAPA and our programs and attended many of our signature events throughout the years.
Dr. Park excelled in the fields of business and economics. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Public Administration from Claremont McKenna College and Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Economics from the University of Southern California.
As the founder of the largest AOM educational institutions in the United States, Dr. Park articulated the founding philosophy of South Baylo University, outlining three principal objectives: Value, Peace, and Professionalism.
In his unwavering commitment to serving the community, Dr. Park paved a path for other API Americans to follow in leadership, education, and community service.
APAPA extends its condolences to the families and friends of Dr. Park. Our organization mourns the loss of an individual with so much talent and heart. He will be missed.
