In 2019, My Sister’s House was named the recipient of APAPA’s annual toy donations.

As part of our philanthropic efforts, APAPA National Headquarters collects toys at the Annual Holiday Mixer hosted by APAPA-Greater Sacramento Chapter (APAPA-GSC) and presents those toys to a worthy organization to hand them out to deserving children in the Greater Sacramento area.

My Sister’s House is a local Sacramento based nonprofit organization established in 2001. For nearly two decades, My Sister’s House has served Asian and Pacific Islanders and other underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by providing a culturally appropriate and responsive safe haven, job training, and community services.

APAPA is a proud sponsor of My Sister’s House and we look forward to continuing our partnership in serving the community.

“Thank you APAPA for bringing joy via toys to the children of our domestic violence and human trafficking survivors,” said Nilda Valmores, Executive Director of My Sister’s House. “Thanks for sharing your holiday spirit!”
