Dear Community Leaders & Friends,
The World Health Organization has declared the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, a pandemic as of Wednesday, March 11, 2020, and after careful consideration, Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA) has decided to postpone two of its upcoming events, the API Women’s Leadership Conference and the 16th Annual California State Capitol Internship Awards & Fundraising Gala.
Due to public safety concerns, the API Women’s Leadership Conference will be postponed until further notice and the 16th Annual California State Capitol Internship Awards & Fundraising Gala will now be held on Monday, July 20, 2020, from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, 1230 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.
Our committee has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure both events are a great success. However, due to increasing confirmed cases around Northern California, and with California declaring a state of emergency, including Sacramento County, public safety is our number one priority. Thus, APAPA has made the tough decision to postpone the upcoming events to ensure everyone’s safety.
Refunds will be issued to all individuals who purchased tickets to the API Women’s Leadership Conference.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you at future events.
