Advancing Every Community Through Leadership Programs For all Americans
Asian Pacific American Public Affairs (APAPA) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization founded in 2001 with grassroots leaders and ambassadors across the country. APAPA is committed to advancing the next generation of leaders through impactful and inclusive leadership programs, for all Americans. The APAPA Internship Program has partnered with over 250 hosting legislators and public officials nationwide. We appreciate your support!
aPAPA PROGRAMS
Through internships and youth programs, we inclusively engage and empower the next generation of community leaders. Hundreds of APAPA interns work at local, state, and federal legislatures each year. They also gain leadership skills through professional development workshops.
NATIONAL OUTREACH
APAPA advocates for all our communities to promote inclusion and empowerment to all Americans. We ensure our collective voices are heard on important issues such as voting rights, public safety, resources, and education. Each year, we lead and organize national outreach efforts with 100+ nationwide partners.
Our APAPA leaders inclusively organize hundreds of candidate forums and educational initiatives across the country with community leaders and public officials. We ensure all Americans can fully participate in our community.
Our committee works closely with the California governor’s appointment team to support and recommend well-qualified candidates for gubernatorial appointments who reflect the demographics of California.
APAPA in The Community
APAPA organizes an annual community coalition with 100+ inclusive co-hosting organizations. We connect with nearly all legislative offices, and meet with key members of leadership including the Pro Tem, Speaker, Appropriations Committee, Budget Committee, and Caucus Chairs. Our coalition also presents a policy paper outlining our legislative priorities for our communities.
