APAPA Outreach in Washington DC
September 25-27, 2023
APAPA chapter leaders traveled to Washington, D.C. to advocate for legislation that would positively impact all communities. We engaged in discussions with over 40 congressional offices, presenting and deliberating on several critical bills. Our outreach efforts encompassed immigration reform to reduce backlogs and delays (HR 1535). Additionally, we shared the importance of inclusive American history to be taught in public schools (HR 3434). The impact of our work reached the White House, where we met with officials from the Office of Public Engagement! We also highlighted the invaluable leadership development opportunities offered through the APAPA Internship Program.
