Youth Leadership Academy

APAPA’s Youth Leadership Academy is designed to inspire and prepare the next generation of high school leaders. This program provides students with hands-on opportunities to develop leadership skills, explore civic engagement, and build a bridge to college and beyond.

  • Orientation & Training – Students participate in sessions that set the foundation for leadership, civic responsibility, and community impact.

  • Professional Development Workshops – Interactive workshops with community leaders, industry professionals, and special guest speakers.

  • Projects & Teamwork – Students work on meaningful projects that promote collaboration, problem-solving, and communication.

  • Bridge to College – Guidance and mentorship to help students successfully transition from high school into higher education.

  • Capitol Field Trip – A unique opportunity to visit the State Capitol, engage with policymakers, and see civic leadership in action.

What the program includes

  • Designed for high school students (grades 9–12).

  • Led and coordinated by APAPA National.

  • Offered throughout the year, with an optional two-week intensive summer program.
