During Asian Pacific Heritage Month, APAPA New York chapters will be partnering with the New York API Legislative Caucus' 2025 Summit to support a Legislative Reception, and join advocacy efforts to pass Assembly Bill A4638 (Lee), and its Senate version S3334 (Liu). These bills aim to be a first step, while keeping the ultimate goal of establishment of a model curriculum for public elementary and high schools to provide instruction in Asian American history and civic impact. Current discussions acknowledge the need to include Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander historical contributions. Join us by emailing events@apapa.org.
